The project received financing for script writing from Sodec (private sector), Telefilm Canada, The Harold Greenberg Fund and Québec Arts Council. It was also selected at Atelier Grand Nord among 12 scripts from France, Belgium, Switzerland and Quebec.

The film has obtained production financing from Sodec and distributor Axia Films. It was shot during winter 2016. Post-production takes place summer 2016.

The lead roles are played by Maxime Dumontier and Marine Johnson.




Synopsis :
When their mother dies accidently, two mentally handicapped siblings, Samuel and Emilie, run away in the middle of Winter. They try to reach Matchi Manitou, the fishing and hunting paradise Emilie is convinced their mother went to. As they go deeper and deeper in the boreal forest and risk freezing to death, their brotherly relationship is put to the test.
